FLORA UGOYE NWAKOBI
Flora Nwakobi (they/them) is an artist, writer, director, death doula, & abolitionist.
Their goals include subverting the dominant gaze, instead prioritizing an “oppositional” gaze through a Black, Queer, Ancestral lens when approaching art, community, & life.
Always reflecting on the key to personal and collective liberation for all, Flora believes in embracing Indigenous knowledge and practises, while magnifying the lived experiences of and uplifting our most vulnerable community members.
They enjoy creating expansive art and spaces that question dominant narratives, reimagine what is possible, and inspire action and connection.
They create art.
They make Films.
