Video Habits & Cinematography
In Flora’s early teen years without a cellphone, they found themself always getting bored. As a hobby they would take thier sisters big, red, Nikon DSLR camera everywhere they went in order to could capture and store any moments they deemed cool and interesting on video until they could find a use for them. Usually, they would edit the footage into compilations and post them on YouTube. This practice grew into their love and admiration for Cinematography. Today, they still have hundreds of videos achieved on their hard drive waiting to be used.
Film & Animation
Flora is in no way an animator, but fell in love with film through animation. When they were 15 years old they participated in a queer animation program where they first learned to be comfortable with editing, while also discovering their agency to tell stories that felt relatable to her. Animation to Flora at 15 meant that they could create anything they desired, so they let their imagination go wild and made The Girl With The Rose Shirt.
