This One’s For Feminism - 2019
Written and Directed by Flora Nwakobi
This short, fun project was originally supposed to be a silent film for Flora’s first year of Film School at Concordia University. The surrealist, narrative film is about a badass girl who has a vengeance on men, so she shoots them with her finger guns. Originally, this story was supposed to take place on a nice sunny day, but unfortunately there ended up being a horrible rain storm on the set filming date. With no possibility of rescheduling, Flora had to quickly problem solve and ended up editing the story a little to fit the weather. Flora is extremely thankful to her cast and crew who stuck it out with her and came through despite the uncomfortable wet socks and soaked hair mess of it all. Despite feeling discouraged after filming due to the circumstances, Flora tried her best to put her feelings aside and ended up with this cute, fun, short film.
